A good attorney will charge you $3,000 to $6,000 to review a proposed lease. In some cases, you can get some of those attorney fees reimbursed by the carrier. And in almost every case, they will save you more money over the course of the lease than you spent on them.
Put another way, we get 50+ inquiries from landowners with tower leases that wish they had used an attorney or a better attorney.
If you are in a rural area and there are plenty of other properties nearby that are similar to yours, you may want to find an attorney that will do a very basic once-over on the lease. Otherwise, the tower company or carrier may choose to go to a different property.
