Microwave dishes if functioning correctly should not cause any discernible noise unless you are within 10 feet of them. There aren't any moving parts in a microwave dish. There are electronics in the transmitting equipment at the base, but that it almost always placed in a shelter or building - so its unlikely that you would hear it either.
A more likely cause would be the air conditioner units attached to the shelter or builing. that houses the transmission equipment. Alternatively, it would be a generator on site- but those are only scheduled to run 30 minutes per month as a test.
Also- the beams from microwave dishes are highly focused. Because they connect over long distances, they are directional. These beams are less than a few feet in diameter - typically smaller than that. So the beam from the microwave dish would only impact your house if pointed towards the house itself.
There may have been other changes on the tower that are causing interference with something in the home, but I doubt that it is the microwave.

There are two things at a cell site that generate noise.
1. Air conditioners- noisier than normal AC units- but not that different from the handler outside your house. Also, would run throughout the day, not at night.
2. Generators- typically 70-80 decibels. These should only run 30 minutes each month - not overnight and every night. They are used when the site is disconnected from the power grid. So unless your site is very very rural - can't see that it would be generators.
There isn't anything else at a typical cell tower that generates noise that I am aware of.

Thankyou Ken. If I may I could really use your help as we are dealing with some type of humming micro vibration seems to be mostly between the houses of my neighbor and myself and the only thing we can located in the vicinity that could emit noise would be the cell tower located 599 yards away from the home and the micro vibration humming awakens us endlessly. Is there anything else on the tower aside from the round dish that could generate this noise for approx. 8/12 hours per day and usually starts in the later evening and runs until say 8:00am almost daily. If I wander outside in my yard during this time it is not so evident as when I am inside the home particularly in my corner of the house between my neighbours home and mine where there is about a distance of say 15 feet between the two houses. The sound is like a truck engine running but you can actually feel the micro vibration . I tried to read the noise on a Db meter but to no avail. The area is strictly residential exception tho the ICE park facility behind our homes which is where the Cell tower is also located and it has one round dish that faces toward my house then quite a few of the rectangular receivers (look like speakers). Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated as it is causing us steer due to the fact we have lived here for 37 years and now we have this issue in the neighbourhood. Your assistance is very much appreciated Ken and thankyou again. Gene
