Hi. Whether or not you can renegotiate or amend the lease at this time is subject to the specific language of the lease, but in most cases, the option language is pretty airtight and does not permit the landowner to renegotiate. You could have a local attorney review it, but chances are it wouldn't be worth the money to do so. Sorry, there isn't a better answer here.
