Good question. We inquired with an RF engineering associate- Rick Edwards of Cityscape Consultants- who indicated as follows:
Theoretically it is possible, but medical equipment is licensed by the FCC to accept interference from licensed devices (like those operated by wireless companies like AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon). Thus, by law, cellular equipment cannot interfere with medical diagnostic equipment. That isn’t to say it isn’t possible, but it is highly unlikely.
