Unless there is a clause in the lease that specifically prohibits the Lessee from selling its rights to the lease, then there is nothing you can do about it. This goes both ways. You could also sell the rights to your lease (known as a "Lease Buyout") - unless you have signed a Right of First Refusal clause, which states that any offer you receive must first be presented to the Lessee in order to allow it to match the offer. We do want to point out, however, that if a lease has been amended and requires your signature, you might be able to insert a clause of your own that says any assignment of the lease must be met with your approval.
